East Meets West

I had a long day yesterday. After wrapping up details at work, my family and I had dinner with a special person. What was tiring was the traffic at Makati on a Friday night! It will be a long weekend again since National Heroes' holiday celeb was moved 2 days earlier. Anyway, after checking out our preferred restos, we decided not to join the waiting line and settled for a cozy Japanese restaurant since our scheduled dinner was already 2 hours delayed. Our meeting seemed like we're old pals catching up with each other but only a day passed since our families met. I remember the moment when after he's done telling us about his day, I stopped and felt weird. It was de ja vu. Things seemed to have been repeated exactly. The venue, the clothes, the cinematography and all. Oh well, Engels said that maybe it was really meant to be. We parted ways at around 11PM. He accompanied us to our car then we bade each other goodbye. I hope this won't be the last time that we'll see each other.
It was almost past midnight when we arrived home. The kids were already asleep even before we reached our place. No rest for the wicked though. Engels and I discussed about how to go about other issues and called it a day as soon as the cock crowed.
